Geralt himself was of the School of the Wolf, so it's no surprise he was particularly interested in finding diagrams that would allow him to craft grandmaster level gear of this brotherhood. He began his search by visiting elven ruins a certain witcher had visited years before while protecting the members of an archeological expedition.

4. Read the lead archeologist's journal.
6. Find the key that opens the barrier in the passage to the underground chambers.
In the corpse lying ouside you will find Purple Ruby (it's the key you are looking for) and George Herbert's letter.
7. Open the entrance to the chambers under the ruins.
8. Explore the chambers under the ruins.
You will have to kill some monsters inside the catacombs: wraiths (40), barghests (40) or giant centipedes (40). Use aard sign to destroy broken walls.
In one of the chambers you will find witcher's satchel with Diagram: Grandmaster Wolven armor, Diagram: Grandmaster Wolven trousers and Diagram: Grandmaster Wolven boots.
In another room you will find skeleton and Diagram: Grandmaster Wolven steel sword, Diagram: Grandmaster Wolven silver sword and Diagram: Grandmaster Wolven gauntlets.
9. Quest completed.
Geralt's own exploration of the site ended in the cellars beneath the ruins. Our hero learned the scholars had reached a spot haunted by elven specters. Both the learned men and the witcher escorting them had perished at the wraiths' hands. Geralt proved a mite luckier. He not only emerged from the ruins alive, but he also found all the diagrams he had gone there to seek.
