Wasteland Survival Guide Magazine

There are a total of 120 magazines + 1 book to collect in Fallout 4. Each magazine grants the player additional perks when read, or unlock certain benefits. Some of those perks can have multiple ranks, with the rank increasing each time the player reads the new magazine.

Wasteland Survival Guide

Every installment of the Wasteland Survival Guide you collect adds a version of the Wasteland Survival perk, which grants a unique bonus, like faster swim speed or double meat on slain animals.

In total there are nine editions of Wasteland Survival Guide: "Farming the Wastes First Issue", "Insect Repellent Special", "The Bright Side of Radiation Poisoning", "The Scrapyard Home Decoration Guide", "Guide to Diamond City", "Commonwealth Coupon Spectacular", "Water Aerobics For Ghouls", "Self-Defense Secrets" and "Hunting in the Wastes".

Issue: "Hunting in the Wastes". On the floor inside one of the houses at the Sunshine Tidings Co-op. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently collect extra meat from animal kills.
Issue: "Water Aerobics For Ghouls". Inside the Old Gullet Sinkhole cave. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently swim +25% faster. Jump into the sinkhole.
Issue: "Insect Repellent Special". The lower section of one of the cabins at Crater House. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently take 5% less damage from insects.
Issue: "The Scrapyard Home Decoration Guide". Inside one of the huts at the Lynn Woods. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently unlock new decoration items in workshop settlements.
Issue: "Self-Defense Secrets". Inside the Ranger Cabin. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently take 5% less damage from melee attacks.
Issue: "Guide to Diamond City". In the root cellar of the Gorski Cabin. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Diamond City is now permanently marked on your map. The entrance to the Root Cellar - metal hatch - is inside the house.
Issue: "Commonwealth Coupon Spectacular". On the desk in the Nahant Oceanological Society. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently gain +10% discount from food and drink vendors. The Nahant Oceanological Society building.
Issue: "Farming the Wastes First Issue". Inside the Wreck of the USS Riptide. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Heal 50% more from fruits and vegetables.
Issue: "The Bright Side of Radiation Poisoning". Inside the kiosk on the pier of the Egret Tours Marina. Wasteland Survival Guide	You've collected an issue of the Wasteland Survival Guide! Permanently heal +50% from irradiated packaged food and drink.
